We used 1 tbsp of a high quality grade matcha powder which gave us that fresh & vibrant green color! You can toss matcha powder into your smoothies, oats, coffee, desserts, & even breads! It’s easily bendable, and doesn’t have that much of an overpowering taste (as long as it’s used in moderation). Don’t worry….we have plenty of matcha recipes loading….

Vegan Matcha-Swirl Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 1¾ cup all purpose flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup veg oil
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup almond milk yogurt
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 large bananas
- 1 tbsp matcha powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- In a large bowl, combine the vegetable oil, mashed bananas, almond milk yogurt, and vanilla together.
- Add in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Separate 1/3 of the batter. Mix in the matcha powder until a green batter forms.
- Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Dollop the banana batter & the matcha batter throughout the pan. Using a knife, swirl around the banana bread.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before removing and slicing.
