The icon behind some of the best makeup looks on Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber is finally releasing her own brand. After going viral for her impeccable Underpainting method, Mary Phillips is stepping into the beauty space but not as a makeup artist – this time as a brand owner. She announced on Instagram that she’s releasing a new beauty line – m.p.h beauty full of liners, pallets, blush, brushes & more launching on 8/15 in Sephora online and on 8/25 in stores.
In a world where we’re constantly introduced to new celebrity beauty brands, this one feels different. Makeup artists have famously stepped from behind the beauty chair and into the office, spearheading beauty brands to much success. Just look at Pat McGrath Labs, Makeup by Mario, One/Size by Patrick Starrr, Patrick Ta, and of course, the iconic legacy of Bobbi Brown. These artists didn’t just stamp their names on their products, they brought in years of expertise and impeccable artistic styles. They built brands that resonated with professional makeup artists and consumers alike.
There’s not a doubt in my mind that Phillips won’t follow suit, and create a brand that we’ll all grow to love. As for me, I’ll be at the doors of Sephora with my wallet ready to splurge. On what exactly? Well, here’s what we know so far.

She’s Releasing Underpainting Pallets
When Phillips went viral for underpainting – a new technique that color corrects, highlights, and contours before foundation is added – it’s no surprise she created a pallet specifically for it. This 5-pan pallet (reportedly $64) has color correctors, contours, and highlighters. The best pallet for perfecting that underpainting method on your own.
There’s Blush
Similar to the shape of Merit’s Flush Cream Blush, this line has a blush (reportedly $36) with eight shades including coral and shades of berry! Easily fits in the palm of your hand or in your makeup bag.

She’s Releasing Brushes
Two brushes are being released: A Dual-Ended Sculpting Brush (reportedly $38) and a Blush Brush (reportedly $36). What’s a good underpainting look without the right tools to do so?
She Has Products for the Lips
Eight shades of a hydrating lipstick & a lip pencil (that’s perfect for overlining) ranging from $25-$26.
